Building Future-Ready Banks with BIAN

It is time for banks to think beyond automation and embrace industrialization. While automation and new systems and channels to serve customers have worked so far, in the face of growing competition this is not enough. The Financial Services Industry (FSI) needs a new framework that uses standard building blocks and aligns to industry standards. Such a framework will make organizations extremely agile and adaptable and help deliver enriched products and increase the speed of services through open ecosystem integrations.  

But to achieve these objectives, all stakeholders in the banking ecosystem need to join forces and speak the same language. This is where BIAN comes in, a common language and direction created by a large group of industry leaders to boost the developments needed in keeping the banking industry relevant for future. Large product organizations in the financial space are also realizing the need to align their products to BIAN standards and are getting BIAN certification to improve their positioning with FSI clients. 

In this round table, experts from different organizations will share their views on  why and how they are implementing BIAN for different use cases such as Business-IT alignment, core / legacy modernization, creating domain-driven design-based right-sized services, moving towards standardized APIs and microservices or embracing open innovation along with ecosystems for purpose-driven banking.  

The discussion will also bring forth perspectives on how various organizations are progressing on their BIAN journey, the challenges that they have encountered while implementing, key success factors and why it’s worth the effort.
